i12 Katong is reopening in phases, starting from 23 December 2021. This will lead up to the grand opening of the mall which is set for March 2022.
Standing at the junction of Joo Chiat Road and East Coast Road, i12 Katong has been under renovation since early 2020. Therefore, its reopening is long looked-forward to and comes just ahead of the Christmas weekend in Singapore.

Do be aware that it is only in the soft reopening phase and many shops are still not open as of December 2021. Nonetheless, here’s what you can expect.
1. i12 Katong Shops
I12 Katong will have 180 stores. These stores include both lifestyle brand and eateries. These will be progressively opening from December 2021 to March 2022. The anchor tenants at i12 Katong are CS Fresh (supermarket), Golden Village and United World Preschool.
New tenants that you will find at the mall include All That Jazz Dance Academy, Core Collective, Junior Page and lululemon. Returning tenants include J-mart, Tim Ho Wan, Watsons and Wine Collective.
One noteworthy point that i12 Katong is home to lululemon’s first store in the East, which is over 3,000 square feet!
2. Food Options
The food court at i12 Katong is Malaysia Boleh, located at the basement. It is already open for business. Other food stalls at the basement include juice bar Boost (which is also opened) and more.
There is also IPPUDO Ramen on the first floor with more eateries to come in due course. Other restaurants that are set to open over the next three months at i12 Katong include PS.Cafe, Prive and Tim Ho Wan.
3. Art Collaborations
i12 Katong will feature a series of art exhibits in collaboration with local art gallery, Sound of Art. Themed ‘In the Beginning’, the exhibition celebrates the vibrant and diverse works from across Asia.
Pop Palette is a specially curated lifestyle zone which has various instagrammable backdrops at the moment.
The mall is also working with local design collective, PLUS Group, to design and
create a sculpture which uses sustainable materials such as FSC-certified and plantable
paper. The sculpture will be unveiled at i12 Katong’s grand opening in March 2022 and be displayed at the main entrance of the mall.
4. KLIK Rewards Programme
In January 2022, i12 Katong will be introducing a new rewards programme called ‘KLIK’.
This is a new app-based loyalty programme will enable shoppers to earn points whenever they spend, which can then be used to redeem e-vouchers.
5. Golden Village Will Be Back With A New Music Lounge
In the first quarter of 2022, Golden Village will be launching a new music lounge at i12 Katong in support of the local entertainment and arts scene. This will be created at its Gold Class Lounge.
Golden Village will be located at Level 5 of the mall. It was still closed when we visited on 23 Dec 2021.
6. Mr Woofles
Dog lovers will be able to send their fur babies to Mr Woofles, a dog club and daycare located in a mall. The store offers services such as daycare, socialising and a playground for dogs.
7. Core Clinic
i12 Katong will also be home to Singapore’s first medical coworking space. The 7,000-square-foot Core Clinic will allow medical specialists to gain greater access to a unique ecosystem of patients and professionals.
8. Climb Central
While there no longer appears to be a children’s playground at i12 Katong, there is going to be a Climb Central outlet. Both kids and adults will be able to enjoy all-weather rock climbing there when it opens in the first quarter of 2022.
