Set against a splendid view of Sentosa, library@harbourfront is designed with two distinct zones – one for adults and teens, and another for children. The Children’s Zone enables young readers to learn through technology, with features such as Augmented Reality books that bring stories to life. The Adults’ and Teens’ Zone is volunteer-run and offers flexible spaces to host programmes that support digital readiness and lifelong learning. Take the virtual tour here.

Located at Heartbeat@Bedok, the Bedok Public Library’s design follows themes of nature. The pillar wraps, colours and design in the library include landscape elements inspired by the natural greenery around us. Visitors can enjoy the garden surroundings as they enter the library. Yishun Public Library

Yishun Public Library was officially in 1998 and relocated from Yishun Street 22 to Northpoint Shopping Centre in 2008. It underwent renovations and re-opened on 3 February 2018. The library has a collection of about 121,000 books, around 300 magazine titles and 3,000 audio-visual items, for all age groups in the four official languages. There are several facilities in the library such as Digital Learning Zones, Quiet Reading Lounge and learning pods. Take the virtual tour here.


Tampines Regional Library

Located at Our Tampines Hub, the new library features five floors filled with amenities such as maker spaces, an exhibition gallery, and a study lounge. Sengkang Public Library

Located within Compass One shopping mall, the library covers an area of 2,136 square meters and there are several new areas in the library including the Early Literacy Area where families can read and bond together, the Tween Space for children aged 10 to 14 and a dedicated Adults section for quiet reading. Bukit Panjang Public Library

Located within Bukit Panjang Plaza, the Bukit Panjang Public Library has two separate wings: the Children’s Zone and the Adults’ & Teens’ Zones. The design concept is uniquely inspired by changes to Bukit Panjang’s public transport access, including a direct connection to the new Downtown Line. There are coloured ribbons on the floor that serve to help visitors find their way around the library as well as subject clusters indicated on the floor and ceiling to enable users to locate their preferred collection better.
