Kali – A Stream of Memory – Installation at Esplanade Lawn
The installation expresses Papermoon Puppet Theatre’s interests in the bonds between humans and with nature. It is inspired by a village that is set by a river and is intended to celebrate the life-giving energy of human relationships and nature.
The Kali – A Stream of Memory installation features a larger-than-life puppet, houses on stilts and miniature puppets created from clay, wood and rattan.
The large puppet is Kali, a guardian that watches over the village and the villagers, protecting what it deems most important.
The outdoor installation is just part of the overall storytelling of the production Stream of Memory by Papermoon Puppet Theatre. Stream of Memory takes place at the Singtel Waterfront Theatre from 13 to 18 December 2022.
