Decorated with Upcycled Ornaments

Trees of the World is a community programme that connects people with nature while raising funds for the Give to the Gardens programme.

The trees that make up Trees of the World have been individually decorated with interesting ornaments. These are the work of sponsors for the trees. Families, individuals, and organisations were invited to join in by sponsoring and to decorate the specially curated native trees to celebrate the festive season.

Part of the charm of Trees of the World at Singapore Botanic Gardens is the chance to pause and appreciate the creativity of the decorations.

After the Trees of the World display is over, the native trees that are decorated and displayed will find new purpose as they will be planted across Singapore’s parks and green spaces to add to the greening of Singapore.

A walk through the Singapore Botanic Gardens in evening is also a chance to take in the tranquility and peace of the Gardens by the light of the decorated trees.

The Bandstand, an iconic landmark of the Singapore Botanic Gardens, is also decorated and lit up for the festive season. As you walk through the Gardens, you can also look out for other festive displays.
