The River Hongbao 2018 will illuminate The Float @ Marina Bay with supersized lantern displays for 11 days from 14 to 24 February. There will also be cultural programmes, food and games, making River Hongbao 2018 one of our picks for things to do during Lunar New Year 2018.


Wan Qing Festival of Spring 2018

Pay a visit to Sun Yat Sen Nanyang Memorial Hall where various festive activities have been planned to welcome in the Year of the Dog. There will be traditional performances, calligraphy demonstrations and of course lion dance performances at Sun Yat Sen Nanyang Memorial Hall’s Wan Qing Festival of Spring 2018 from 16 to 25 February 2018.

Lion Dances at Gardens by the BayView a display of lanterns in the shape of “Foo Dogs” or Chinese stone lions, watch lion dances and enjoy captivating cultural performances at Gardens by the Bay’s Spring Surprise, taking place from 14 February onwards. Enter the Flower Dome and admire the Dahlia Dreams floral display, watch a movie at the Supertree Grove and more as part of the Lunar New Year 2018 activities at Gardens by the Bay.


Huayi Chinese Festival of the Arts

Huayi Chinese Festival of the ArtsEnjoy free performances and activities at Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay during Lunar New Year 2018. Be entertained by singer-songwriters, melodious Chinese instruments and talks that shed light on Chinese traditions. Kids make shadow puppets, take part in a Stampaway workshop, create an embroidered ornament and engage in other fun and free activities. The Huayi Chinese Festival of the Arts at Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay will be held from 23 February to 4 March 2018.
