Traveling for a wintery holiday overseas holiday may be out of the question this year but you can still take the kids for a day out to enjoy snow in Singapore 2020.
Compared to previous years, there are relatively fewer places where you can find snow in Singapore in 2020, however, if you are still looking for a bit of fun for the kids, here’s where you can head out to.
Where to Find Snow in Singapore 2020
Jewel Changi Airport’s Shiseido Forest Valley
Snow is forecasted every day at Jewel Changi Airport’s Shiseido Forest Valley till 3 January 2021.
According to the “weatherman”, you can expect snow in Singapore at the Shiseido Forest Valley at 6.30 pm, 7.30 pm, 8.30 pm, 9.30 pm and 10.30 pm.
To enjoy it, you would need a minimum spend at Jewel Changi Airport. Every $30 nett admits two persons on the same day. Admission times are from 6 pm to 11 pm daily (last entry at 10.30 pm). Children aged 3 years old and below enter for free but an accompanying adult with a qualifying receipt is required.
Hourly snowfalls are also expected at Canopy Park but these are lighter than the “main event” at Shiseido Forest Valley.
Changi Airport Terminal 3 Departure Hall: tokidoki Snow Holiday
The snow clouds must be all clustered in the east because another spot to find snow in Singapore for 2020 is at Changi Airport’s T3 Departure Hall. This time, it is contained in Singapore’s largest double-storey snow fun house, tokidoki Snow Holiday.
Join Kaiju and his tokidoki friends for a sub-zero snow adventure and even slide down a 12-metre- long snow luge inside the ice house. Wait for the ‘snowfall’ experience and imagine that you are off on a wintery holiday.
Each play session at tokidoki Snow Holiday consists of 20 minutes of briefing and preparation and 20 minutes of snow play time.
Redeem one complimentary activity pass (child or adult) with every $30 ($80 for supermarkets) spent with a maximum of four activity passes in a single receipt at public areas at Changi Airport’s T1, T3 and Dino Fest at T4.
tokidoki Snow Holiday is open daily from 10.40 am to 10.20 pm (last entry at 9.40 pm) till 3 January 2021.
Winterlust at Snow City Singapore
Snow City Singapore is having Winterlust (what a name!) for the school holidays 2020, till 3 January 2021. There will be snowfalls hourly every day and a snow blizzard at 11 am, 3 pm and 5 pm. On the weekends in December, Santa will also be making an appearance at 12 pm and 4 pm.
Head down to the Outdoor Plaza at Capitol Singapore from 20 November to 25 December 2020 for snow fall. This takes place at 7.30 pm, 8.30 pm and 9.30 pm. Each snowfall session lasts for five minutes. Get more details here.
Virtual Snowball Fight
Unfortunately, there isn’t any Blizzard Time this year at the Christmas Wonderland light up at Gardens by the Bay. However, you can have a virtual multi-player snowball fight online. It is part of the virtual Christmas Wonderland 2020. Get the details here.
