The Singapore Airshow 2018 will roar into Changi Exhibition Centre from 6 to 11 February 2018. It is open to the public on the weekend of 10 and 11 February 2018 with all other days reserved for trade visitors only.
Billed as Asia’s largest aerospace and defence event, the Singapore Airshow 2018 provides an opportunity for aviation enthusiasts to get up-close with aircraft and other flight-related hardware. If you are thinking of making your way down to the Singapore Airshow 2018, here are some things that you should know before you go.
#1. Admission Tickets Required
Entry to the Singapore Airshow 2018 on public days is ticketed.
Both adults and children between three to 12 years old will need tickets to enter the Singapore Airshow 2018 grounds. Children under three can enter for free but parents need to bring along their child’s Birth Certificate as proof of their age.

Tickets can be purchased through SISTIC channels and provide admission to the show’s indoor and outdoor exhibition areas, static displays and viewing of the flying displays.
An adult ticket costs $22 and a child ticket costs $9.
The ticket includes free Airshow Shuttle transfers between Singapore Expo and the show grounds at Changi Exhibition Centre – the recommended way to get to and from the showgrounds.
Take note that Singapore Airshow 2018 tickets will not be available for purchase at Singapore Expo or Changi Exhibition Centre.
The event is not recommended for very young children because of the loud noise from the Flying Displays and expected hot weather.
Last admission to the Singapore Airshow is at 4.30 pm and re-admission is not allowed on public days.
#2. What You Can’t Bring In
There will be security checks for those entering the Singapore Airshow 2018. Some items which visitors are not allowed bring in to the airshow grounds include balloons, Frisbees, drones, laser pointers and Personal Mobility Devices. #3. When to Catch the Aerobatic Flying Displays
Singapore Airshow 2018’s Flying Displays will take place at 11.30 am and 2.30 pm on public days.
Among the planes scheduled to take to the skies are the F-15S and F-16C from the Republic of Singapore Air Force.
Visitors can view the Aerobatic Flying Displays from the open area in front of the exhibition hall or from the grandstand. The use of earplugs is recommended when viewing the Flying Displays.
#4. Bring Cash for F&B at Singapore Airshow 2018
There will be Food and Beverage options available at Singapore Airshow 2018. However, most of these F&B outlets will only accept cash. Therefore, be sure to bring sufficient cash to the airshow as there are no ATMs at the showgrounds.
#5. RSAF50 @ Singapore Airshow 2018
The Republic of Singapore Air Force will be marking its 50th year with a special RSAF50 Pavilion showcasing its history and accomplishments at the Singapore Airshow 2018. It will also display more than 20 types of aircraft and weapon systems. A highlight of RSAF50 @ Singapore Airshow 2018 is the Super Puma Experiential Flight. Balloting for a seat on the helicopter joyride takes place before the airshow from 17 to 31 January 2018.
