The ActiveSG Queenstown Sport Centre has reopened and will be ramping up operations in the next couple of weeks for its official launch. Maybe you are excited about the swimming complex, are thinking of hitting the gym facilities, or are looking forward to games at the stadium. Whatever the case, here is a first look at the relaunched ActiveSG Queenstown Sports Centre.
ActiveSG Queenstown Sport Centre

The Queenstown Sports Complex is Singapore’s first neighbourhood sports complex and it opened on 15 August 1970 with the aim of providing more recreational facilities for residents in Queenstown.
Believe it or not, the Queenstown Stadium was even the site for National Day parades in the 1970s. In 1975 and 1983, decentralised parades on National Day were held at the Queenstown Stadium as a way to engage more Singaporeans in the National Day celebrations.

The Queenstown swimming complex even has a sporting pedigree. Queenstown’s water polo team, which comprised of students from neighbouring secondary schools, were a key part the national water polo team in the 1970s and 1980s.
The national team, which won gold at the 1979 Southeast Asian Games, was also made up of Queenstown stalwarts.
Queenstown ActiveSG Gym, Stadium and Swimming Complex
The ActiveSG Queenstown Sport Centre is spread out over two different levels.
Entering into the gates, to the left on the first floor is the ActiveSG gym.
Next to the gym is the stadium and running track. A viewing gallery to house spectators can be found facing the running track and playing field.
However, when we visited on 5 July 2026, the stadium and running track was still in the midst of preparation for reopening.
If you want to head to the Queenstown Swimming Complex, that can be found on Level 3.
Take the stairs to the right of the main entrance to reach the swimming complex.
Amongst the swimming pools at Queenstown Swimming Complex is an Olympic-sized pool.
There is also a shallower pool that kids can enjoy.
Other facilities include a diving pool.
There are children’s wading pools at the rear of the swimming complex. However, these were still not ready when we visited on 5 July.
There are also shower cubicles for kids, as well as low sinks, close to the wading pools.
For parents with young children, it may also be useful to know that there is a diaper changing room on Level 1, close to the entrance of the gym.
Official Opening of the Queenstown Sport Complex
The Queenstown Sport Complex is currently still in its soft launch phase. It will be ramping up operations in the coming weeks, ahead of its official opening.
You can enjoy free entry to Queenstown Sport Complex’s to gym and swimming pool from till 6 July 2026.
We look forward to the official reopening and complete launch of all the facilities at the Queenstown Sport Complex.
