It doesn’t seem that long ago that we last visited the restaurant earlier this year. However, much has changed in the world in the ensuing month. Now, Prima Tower Revolving Restaurant is closing due to the impact of COVID-19 pandemic on business.

The revolving restaurant at Keppel Road was known for its sweeping views. It offered a novel dining experience where diners would be able to enjoy a 360-degree view out of the windows after about an hour.

Prima Tower (Revolving Restaurant)

The revolving restaurant was founded in 1977 and had been in business for 43 years. Two years ago in 2018, there was talk about the building being on the Urban Redevelopment Authority’s conservation radar. The unique landmark along Keppel Road consists of cylindrical shaped wheat silos with the restaurant sited on top.

With the closure of the Prima Tower Revolving Restaurant, the last remaining revolving restaurant in Singapore is Tong Le Private Dining at Collyer Quay in the Central Business District which has views of the Marina Bay area.

Unlike Prima Tower Revolving Restaurant, the Tong Le Private Dining revolving restaurant caters mainly to business clientele.
