Tucked away within a private residential estate, the Parry Road Playground is an interestingly themed play spot for kids living in the neighbourhood. The playground is supposedly Amazon themed but it actually feels like it should be an African theme, especially since it features a large elephant!
Parry Road Playground: Tribal Playground With The Amazon

The Parry Road Playground can be found at the higher section of the neighbourhood park.
The play structure here consists of several interconnected sections, providing kids with the opportunity to move from one area to another as they play.

There are multiple ways for kids to enter into the playground structure. Most notably, there is a climbing net that arcs upwards from the ground. It leads to a hut with a signboard that reads “Amazon” hung above the entrance.
Are the kids venturing into an Amazonian-themed playground?
The main hut has two levels for kids to explore! We loved how the hut has been designed to look like a wooden structure with a roof made out of leaves. It looks fun and invites exploration.
The vertical supports of the playground have been fashioned to look like poles – adding further to the jungle theme.
A parchment notice is plastered to the side of the entrance and it declares that “Your adventure begins here!”
It goes on to say, “Imagine yourself as a tribal leader and go on an incredible journey to explore the precious wildlife that inhabits Planet Earth! How many magnificent animals cna you identify in this playground?”
And so the fun begins!
Elephant Slide
At the top of the two-level play tower, kids can take a grey coloured slide to make their way back down.
From the outside, you can see that the long and winding tube slide is actually an elephant’s trunk! You normally would not find an elephant in the Amazon, but we don’t think that the kids will mind.
Instead, kids who zip down the slide will be “sneezed” out of the elephant’s trunk! Whee!
Ramp, Fireman’s Pole & More
The main hut is connected by a mini suspension bridge to another play hut.
This play hut can also be reached by a “log” ramp. And there is a fireman’s pole for young tribal adventurers to slide down to the playground floor.
Another play hut can be reach by a set of cable monkey bars. This hut is labelled “Store”. Perhaps it is where all the supplies for the adventure are kept!
A ramp with a rope serves as another way for kids to enter into this play tower. There are also sliders that can be moved around. Maybe this is how the storekeeper keeps track of the supplies in the store!
Swings
In addition to the tribal playground, the Parry Road Playground also has got a set of swings that kids can enjoy.
Close by, there is also a sheltered pavilion where parents and caregivers can keep a watchful eye on what the kids are getting up to.
Parry Road Playground – Get the Tribe Together
Pay a visit to the Parry Road Playground and let the imagination take over.
The Parry Road Playground can be found at the junction of Parry Road and Chuan Hoe Avenue. It is beside the Japanese Cemetery Park.
If you enjoyed this story, we predict that you will also enjoy this one on another Amazon-themed playground.
