
For the first time since the start of the pandemic, the Istana grounds will be alive with performances and activity booths during the National Day Istana Open House 2022 on Sunday, 17 July 2022.
The National Day Istana Open House 2022 will be open to all visitors who will be able to tour the grounds and pay a visit to the Istana Main Building.
National Day Istana Open House 2022: Dance and Band Performances

Between 10 am to 4 pm, visitors can catch dance and band performances by students from Ang Mo Kio Secondary School, Chung Cheng High School (Main), Raffles Girls’ School (Secondary) and Seng Kang Secondary School at the Ceremonial Plaza and Main Tent.
The performances at the National Day Istana Open House 2022 will take place at these times:

10 am to 11 am – Concert Band Performance by Chung Cheng High School (Main) – (Main Tent)
11 am to 12 noon – Band Performance by Seng Kang Secondary – (Main Tent)
2 pm to 3 pm – Indian Dance Performance by Raffles Girls’ School (Secondary) – Ceremonial Plaza
3 pm to 4 pm – Modern Dance Performance by Ang Mo Kio Secondary School – Ceremonial Plaza
Other Activities at the National Day Istana Open House 2022, 17 July
In addition, there will also be health and wellness activities held at the Main Tent and arts and crafts activities at the tent near the Inclusive Garden.
Visitors can also pay a visit to the Istana Main Building and there will be guided tours conducted by National Heritage Board. NParks will also be conducting nature guided tours between 10 am and 4 pm with the meeting point at the Enhanced Japanese Garden and Inclusive Garden.
To further enliven the atmosphere at the National Day 2022 Istana Open House, there will also be a Goodburger Food Truck and Udders ice-cream booth at the open house.
There will also be merchandise booths with limited-edition Istana souvenirs and President’s Challenge souvenirs for sale. All proceeds from the merchandise booths will go towards charities supported by President’s Challenge. Only cashless payments via PayNow will be accepted.
