Jones the Grocer has opened at Changi Airport Terminal 2 and is the first-ever duplex concession in the public area of the airport’s terminals.

Previously, Jones the Grocer had outlets in Singapore at locations like Dempsey Hill as well as Great World. This new outlet marks the return of Jones the Grocer to Singapore.

This time around, the artisan café, bakery, patisserie, deli and cheese monger has partnered with SSP Group, a leading operator of food and beverage outlets in travel locations worldwide, and Changi Airport Group (CAG), operator of Singapore Changi Airport, to deliver a gourmet dining and bar experience.

The level above is set to open later this year.

It will feature expert chefs who will cook Jones the Grocer’s modern, globally-influenced food for breakfast, lunch and dinner in a show kitchen, enabling travellers to see their food prepared in front of them.

Bar staff at the island bar will serve handcrafted cocktails and small bites.

An Italian pizza oven will treat diners to hand-thrown pizzas. There will also be a specially created ‘retail and coffee zone’ that will feature interactive digital screens and hand-picked gourmet retail options.

Jonathan Robinson, Chief Executive Officer, SSP Asia Pacific said, “After many months of close collaboration with our partners at Changi Airport Group and Jones the Grocer International we are delighted to be bringing Jones the Grocer to the airport, which is set to become a buzzing foodie hub which will attract travellers and locals from dawn to dusk. The result is a beautiful outlet on two levels, which will enhance the restaurant and shopping experience for Changi Airport passengers. Our customer insights show us that consumers are increasingly looking for healthier food choices when travelling. We are confident that Jones the Grocer’s high-quality offer of packaged foods and beverages, alongside its flavourful, fresh offering of hand-made sauces and pastas will be very attractive to travellers as well as local Singaporeans passing through Changi Airport.”

Phau Hui Hoon, Vice President of Landside Concessions at Changi Airport Group said, “At Changi Airport, bringing a touch of magic to the traveller journey and visitor experience is at the heart of all that we do, and we are confident that Jones the Grocer’s artisanal offer will do just that. We are delighted to have collaborated with SSP Group and Jones the Grocer to bring a beloved brand back to Singapore, with exciting new experiences for diners within Changi Airport’s first-ever duplex landside concession.”
