Making your way through Hong Kong International Airport with kids? Need something to keep them occupied for some time while waiting for a flight? That’s where the Hong Kong Airport’s Wonder Eggshell playground comes in.
Located at the East Hall, Departures Level (Level 6) of Hong Kong Airport Terminal 1, Wonder Eggshell is a play area at the airport that is designed to keep kids entertained. Those making their way in from the immigration area will find it just past the food court, one level below. It is next to Gate 11.

At the heart of the Hong Kong Airport children’s play area is a giant eggshell structure that looks as if part of the top of the egg is blasting off. It is colourfully decorated with bright patterns in different pastel shades, giving it an inviting look.
To reach the main egg shell, kids will have to make their way through climbing nets or a curved net tunnel that stretches out from ground level up and into the structure.
From the inside, there is a colourfully decorated slide that they can use to make their way out of the egg shell.
Above the egg shell, there are more colourful elements in the form of decorative ribbons that lead up.
Kids who need a break from playing on the egg-themed playground will also find bird-themed digital games at the playground. Children can use these to play and interact with each other.
Things to Note about Using the Wonder Eggshell Hong Kong Airport Playground
Take note that in order to enter the Wonder Eggshell Hong Kong Airport playground, kids will need to be accompanied by an adult who should be responsible for the child’s safety at all times.
Shoes will need to be left at the play area’s shoe rack at the entrance as no shoes are allowed to be worn in the playground. Socks are also required to be worn at all times.
Eating and drinking are also not allowed within the Wonder Eggshell Hong Kong Airport playground.
The Wonder Eggshell Hong Kong Airport Playground can accommodate up to 40 person at most at any time.
Other Entertainment Areas for Children at Hong Kong International Airport
In addition to the Wonder Eggshell, you can also find smaller areas with television screens along the main spine of the Hong Kong airport.
