Are you game for a “classic” but huge family-friendly amusement park packed with tons of outdoor and indoor activities? Dream World Bangkok, Thailand is a whole-day family affair with over 40 different rides, shows and attractions, carnival game stores, market shops and food stalls.
Additional attractions within Dream World Bangkok include a Water Park and Snow Town. Both of these attractions require the appropriate outfits when one visits, although the latter does provide free loans of winter jackets and boots.
Dream World Bangkok is located in Thanyaburi District, Pathum Thani Province. To get there was a 40-minute drive from the Bangkok city centre.
We had booked our admission tickets (flashed our Klook e-voucher at the Information kiosk instead of the usual ticketing counters for a special entry sticker that afforded free limitless rides) with a simple Thai buffet lunch and Snow Town pass package from Klook online, a good combi-ticket deal.

With a comprehensive map of Dream World Bangkok in hand, we headed off to experience the amusement park’s exciting rides (which include three rollercoasters) and attractive sights.
There was so much to do that we could not finish all the attractions in a day.

Dream World Plaza and Dream Gardens – Landscaped Gardens, Bicycle Boats and Seven Wonders
Passing through the souvenir shops by the entrance, we arrived on the main streets of Dream World Plaza. This part of the park included the flowery Love Garden and the picturesque Dream Gardens zone.

One section of the Gardens features miniatures of the Wonders of the World. There were the Taj Mahal, Leaning Tower of Pisa and the Great Wall of China – great for photo-taking.
Weekend visitors to the park would also be able to catch The Colours of the World, an afternoon parade of costumed characters that takes place beside the lake.
Travelling High – Cable Cars and Monorail

Snow Town – Snow Fights and Sleigh Rides
After alighting from the cable car, we proceeded to tackle Dream World Bangkok’s Snow Town first as it closes earlier than the rest of the theme park.

A word of caution – the winter jackets provided at Snow Town are rather thin and there are no gloves available. If you are intending to visit Dream World Bangkok’s Snow Town, we suggest to come prepared with long pants and an additional layer that can be removed when you head outdoors later.
Nonetheless, we had a blast inside Snow Town, sliding around and taking photos at the igloo, and with arctic animals and snowman sculptures. Before long, it was time to escape back outside and thaw under the warm sunlight!

Kid (Only) Rides
Toddlers and below can also enjoy some of the milder “kiddy” rides at Dream World Bangkok. These included the Indian Boat and Flying Fish. Since there was a maximum (rather than minimum) height restriction of 120cm and below, only my five-year-old could ride in a Monza train of connected kiddy cars going up and down a sloped track, while we waved at her. She had fun and felt very grown up!

Adrenaline-rush Rides for Adults

Other hair-raising rides at Dream World Bangkok include Tornado Spin, Super Splash Boat Slide, Viking, Go-Kart Race, Haunted Mansion, Black Hole Roller Coaster and Hurricane. Unfortunately, we ran out of time but there was plenty for thrillseekers to enjoy.

Photopia
As evening approached, we managed to spend some time taking photos around Dream World Bangkok!

Dream World Railroad
We ended the day with a final train ride around the lake area and winding down after a full day of fun.
Shows
We wished we had more time to catch the 20-25-minute shows (held once daily during the week and thrice daily on weekends) at Dream World Bangkok. These shows are held at specific time slots and include a Live Animal Show and a Hollywood Action show.
Dream World Bangkok was great old-school fun for the children (and us too). It holds something for everyone, whether young or old. We noticed that a number of locals even brought along their puppies (in special frontpacks and strollers) and cats to the park.
When in Bangkok again, we most definitely intend to go back to Dream World Bangkok!
