Circus of Altrades’s first digital circus show
Inspired by the phrase “Jack of All Trades”, Circus of Altrades was founded in 2020 by daredevil duo Beverly Wan and Koh Jia Sheng. They also choreographed and directed the “Circus of Altrades: Christmas Edition” show.
The performance builds on the training they received at the acclaimed Australian circus company, Gravity & Other Myths. The cast members are also well-established in their areas of expertise and comprise of national athletes, gymnasts, cheerleaders, contemporary dancers, and more.
The duo aspires to bring Singapore’s nascent circus scene to new heights and make circus arts more accessible to fellow Singaporeans.
“Aside from spreading the love of the circus to more people, we are hoping that this production can show local artistes that a sustainable and fulfilling career in the arts is possible. This show is just the beginning for us.” said Koh Jia Sheng who is also the Managing Director of Altrades. Circus of Altrades also conducts lessons suitable for students of various ages.
