The Chingay At Heartlands at Holland-Bukit Timah GRC & Bukit Panjang SMC takes place on Friday, 1 March 2024. 

The programme will feature dragon dance performances by Bukit Panjang Community Club Dragon & Lion Dance Troupe, involving 30 performers, including several children born in the Year of the Dragon, individuals of diverse ethnic backgrounds, as well as student performers from West Spring Primary School.

This is in addition to other highlights like float caravans and roving Chingay performers.

One of the highlights Chingay At Heartlands at Holland-Bukit Timah GRC & Bukit Panjang SMC will be the floats making their away around the neighbourhood.

The caravan route will start from two locations:

  • From 5:30pm at Ghim Moh Road
  • From 7:30pm: Petir Road (In front of Petir Park)

The float procession will commence at 5.30 pm from Ghim Moh Road.

The caravan is estimated to arrive around 6.30 pm at Petir Park for the launch event and make its way around Bukit Panjang Area.


Chingay At Heartlands at Holland-Bukit Timah GRC & Bukit Panjang Activities

There will be activities at Petir Park from 6 pm onwards.

6 pm will see the commencement of event. This will then be followed by a mass dance performance by Bukit Panjang Dance Fit Clubs at 6.20 pm. 

Look forward to singing performances at 6.20 pm and a dance performance by pre-schools (PCF & My First Skool) at 6.35 pm.

Another highlight will be the lion dance performance by Bukit Panjang Dragon & Lion Dance Troupe at 6.45 pm and this will be followed by a ukulele performance by Cancer 365 at 6.55 pm.

The float procession in Bukit Panjang Town will start at 7.30 pm. 

Other activities will be held at the Senja Square Hardcourt, the mid-point site, from 6.30 pm. This includes an LED dragon dance performance by Bukit Panjang Dragon & Lion Dance Troup. 

The final site is at Senja-Cashew CC and Pang Sua Pond. The caravan is expected to arrive there at 8.45 pm. 

The event will end at 9.45 pm.
