BMT @ Singapore Discovery Centre: Fun Experiences & Activities for Kids
In the lead-up to SAF Day on 1 July, families can learn more about Singapore’s military through engaging activities at BMT @ Singapore Discovery Centre.
There are free and fun activities for kids like an outfield camp experience and an obstacle course that will give them a taste of soldiering skills. Whether your child is an aspiring soldier or one who is curious about everything, march over to Singapore Discovery Centre for an exciting dose of Basic Military Training-inspired activities!
Army Experiential Programme
Put on camo paint, pitch basha tents and even try what the soldiers eat on the go! Take part in the Army Experiential Programme for a taste of the outfield camp life. Kids can paint their faces in shades of green to camouflage themselves, learn to pitch a tent just like how our soldiers do it, and try MREs (Meals, Ready-to-Eat). They may even be surprised at how tasty outfield meals can be!

Survival Obstacle Course
Kids can challenge themselves at the Singapore Discovery Centre’s Survival Obstacle Course. Scramble and climb across this kid-friendly, inflatable version of the army’s Standard Obstacle Course or SOC. It is a race to the finish to see who can emerge victorious!
Note that the Survival Obstacle Course is for children above 6. Children between 6 to 12 must be supervised by an adult.

Own Time, Own Target, Fire! (Foam Blaster Challenge)
Soldiers! Enemy troops, 100 meters to our front! Fire at will! Fire!
Step up to the firing line and take on a foam blaster challenge. Aspiring marksmen can rise to the challenge and take aim at targets using child-friendly foam blasters.

Armoured Artisans & Exercise Bootprint (Craft & Trail)
Enjoy hands-on crafting activities at BMT @ Singapore Discovery Centre. Make your own formidable battle tanks to advance onto the battlefield. Upon assembling your tank, embark on Exercise Bootprint – an exciting trail that will help little ones explore and learn the challenges of being a soldier.
