We arrived at Wildseed Café At 1-Flowerhill after strolling through Sentosa Sensoryscape.
It felt like we were stepping into a postcard as we entered the colonial-style façade in white and cream, arched verandahs.

Wildseed Café at 1-Flowerhill: Gorgeous Floral Sanctuary at Sentosa
There was a little extra magic on our visit to Wildseed by Flowerhill: a Wicked-themed brunch. The indoor dining room is all fabric and faux blooms; guests can’t help being trigger happy.
For the occasion, the cafe not only had a themed brunch and there was a themed cupcake-decorating activity for children as they awaited the food.
Decisions were aplenty: green or pink swirl? How many sprinkles count as “too many”?
Answer: there can never be too many sprinkles. Both kids loaded up their cupcakes with lots of happy colours and in myriad creative ways.
M discovered that she could build a three-dimensional tree out of the generous icing. It was definitely beginning to feel like Christmas. Low tox parents can scrap off the coloured cream for kids to enjoy the cupcakes.
Apart from cupcake decoration, the kids also maximised their food waiting time by playing with bubbles (thoughtfully prepared by the cafe). The outdoors area near a giant fan was the perfect place for bubble fun.
Food at Wildseed Cafe
We split three mains, and two kids’ menu items, and did the usual fork-across-the-table shuffle.
We had the smoked confit chicken – tender, flavourful chicken with roasted Brussel sprouts, soft mashed potatoes, and cranberry sauce.
The Flatiron steak came with roasted maple carrots, baked potato, béarnaise. It was satisfying and properly seared on the outside (we had it medium rare). I didn’t have to scrape off burnt grill marks which usually come with steaks and enjoyed every bite!
The “pink” seafood linguine — tomato-cream base with succulent prawns, squid and mussels – was creamy and a favourite with the kids.
Drinks went the fancy route. We had a Strawberry Matcha (in place of our usual coffee) and a chocolatey mocktail (there’s an option to make it alcoholic).
The four of us shared a petite-sized cake for a sweet ending; it vanished in “one bite each”.
Family-friendly Vibes All Round
There’s a kids menu that features homemade patty burger sliders, curly fries, and a serving of fruits on the side.
Though my kids aren’t into dressing up, there’s a kids costume and props corner where children could transform into otherworldly characters, inspired by Wicked.
This setup added a touch of “magic”.
