Some highlights in the “Tampines Goes Farming” exhibition include the various urban farming programmes in Tampines. One such example is Tampines Town’s vertical high-tech farming of Temasek rice at Sustainability @ Tampines Park.
Another example would be Our Tampines Hub’s Eco-Community Garden, Eco-Digester Centre, Tampines Farmers Market, Hydroponic Farming, Therapeutic Garden, and new OTH Gardening Kakis.
There are also various community gardens by Residents Networks at various zones, blocks and even at a multi-storey carpark at Tampines North, Tampines East, Tampines Changkat and Tampines Central. In addition, there are other community gardens at Residents Networks from Tampines Greenvale and Tampines Arcadia.
Learning journey tours and activities for residents and young families
As part of the initiative, Our Tampines Hub will be organising a series of learning journey tours for residents and activities suitable for young families. With a focus on sustainable food sources, residents can look forward to being part of some of the farming initiatives that include the pilot hydroponics programme, rooftop gardens and vertical gardens in the community.
