Singapore River One (SRO) is pleased to announce the annual St Patrick’s Day Street Festival along Circular Road from 17 to 19 March 2017. The iconic street will be transformed into a pedestrian-only zone for the weekend where festival-goers can enjoy live traditional Irish and Rock & Roll music; Irish dance performances; plenty of Guinness Stout; as well as family-friendly activities for the kids.
As an integral part of Irish culture, there will be no lack of good music at the St Patrick’s Day Street Festival! Soak in the festivities at three different music sections – two stages and a DJ booth.
A fixture at the street festival is the “Traditional” Stage featuring Irish Inspirational dance performances (step dancing) and The Singapore Trad Collective acoustic band that plays time-honoured Irish folk songs with classic Irish instruments such as the Uilleann pipes, hammered Dulcimer, banjo and fiddle.
KIDS ACTIVITIES (18 and 19 March 2017)
Adding to the fun, there will also be entertainment for the kids in the form of face painting, balloon sculpting, as well as airbrush tattooing!
ST PATRICK’S DAY PARADE (19 March 2017 | from 3pm)
Organised by the St Patrick’s Society and always a crowd pleaser, this year’s parade will no doubt be another event to remember as it takes the route from the Asian Civilisations Museum to UOB Plaza.
