We love that Singapore is a green city. With many parks and gardens in our country to explore, it’s a great way to spend the day. Other than the flora, fauna and playgrounds to enjoy, there are also many parks with restaurants that one can dine in when the tummy starts to rumble. Here are some restaurants in parks that you can visit.

GRUB Burger Bistro – Bishan

Inspired by local Singaporean flavours with a touch of Japanese influence, when dining at GRUB, one can enjoy tasty burgers and pasta with a gorgeous view of the lush greenery that it’s surrounded by. Canopy Garden Dining Hort Park

Canopy Garden Dining is an all-day dining restaurant surrounded by lush greenery in Hort Park. Canopy features an extensive menu including brunch items, pasta, burgers, pizzas, mains and more. Hort Park Canopy is a great setting for larger gatherings too.

The Hort Park outlet is the second outlet of Canopy Garden Dining, with their first being within Bishan Park. Must-try dishes include their Dry-Aged Beef Burger with Onion Marmalade, Cheddar, Tomato, Greens, Truffle Mayonnaise, Sesame Potato Bun & Fries, as well as their Truffle Pizza made with black truffle and mushrooms which is great for sharing.

Wawawa – Bistro by The Reservoir

Located in the sculpture garden in Bedok Reservoir Park, The restaurant features a full menu of moderately priced “comfort” food influenced by German cooking traditions. The café section features a coffeehouse with a dessert bar and open space for live performances.

They offer a variety of meats such as rack of lamb, wagyu beef, cajun chicken and bbq baby back ribs. They also have a signature german pork knuckle. They have most recently added Japanese influenced Donburis to the menu as well.

Do note that they will be closed from 15 March 2021 to 11 April 2021 for upgrading works. Business will resume 12 April 2021.

Located within Punggol Park, Five &2 has both an indoor and outdoor seating area which gives you a great view of the surrounding flora and fauna. The décor with quotes encouraging positivity and kindness points to their collaborations with various charity organisations and also their practice of donating one complimentary nutritious meal is donated to a child from a resource-poor background for every five meals that are sold. They also hire persons with disabilities and ex-inmates as a way to create a sustainable and meaningful future for members of our community.

You can find Western-inspired foods on the menu as well as a few Singaporean dishes such as laksa and Pulut Hitam with Coconut Ice Cream. They have a menu for the kids and furkids, as well as various drinks, cocktails and mocktails.

Bee’s Knees and Botanico

Located on the ground level of The Garage at Botanics Garden, Bee’s Knees is a fun and laidback, family all-day-dining garden café and bistro, with takeaway options and retail offerings. They offer a breakfast menu of eggs, waffles, house-made fruit bowls, and cakes, a Pizza and Pasta menu, as well as an extensive Salad and Sandwich menu, making it the perfect pit stop for park visitors as well as joggers at the Gardens. One can also head up to Level 2 of The Garage to dine at Botanico. This contemporary-bistro has a gorgeous aesthetic and delicately designed menu offering a range of exquisite dishes. From ingredients such as oysters, hearty roasted tomato and basil soup as well as vegan and vegetarian options, a meal here is a treat for the different senses. Read more about Botanico here.

Wildseed Café is a pet-friendly floral café and patisserie surrounded by the lush landscape of flora and fauna at the ground level of The Alkaff Mansion. It’s a quaint place perched atop Telok Blangah Hill that makes a great brunch spot. They offer a hearty selection of brunch items, freshly baked cakes and luscious pastries.

For something more filling, you can expect dishes such as Wagyu Beef Pie, Atas Kaya Toast, Truffled Brie Pizza and their Wild Seed Garden Salad. They also have a kids menu with dishes such as Wagyu beef and pork bolognese linguine or highland pancake with corn and maple syrup.
