Our first staycation with the Boays earlier this year reminded us how nourishing it can be to be close to home yet far enough from routine to slow down and be present as a family.
When the opportunity came for another staycay — this time a two-night stay at Pan Pacific Singapore’s Urban Jungle Suite — we looked forward to rediscovering that feeling. The timing made it even more special, coinciding with the boys’ preschool graduation weekend. It felt like the perfect little celebration to mark the end of their pre-school chapter.
Pan Pacific Singapore: A Resort Tucked Into the City

Pan Pacific Singapore sits right in the heart of the Marina Bay area. There is always something inviting about this district — a blend of arts, culture, skyline views and family-friendly spaces, without the intensity of Orchard’s shopping buzz. Connected by sheltered walkways to Suntec City, Marina Square and Millenia Walk, the hotel is situated in one of the most convenient pockets of Singapore.

But the moment we stepped through the lobby doors, we realised that mall-hopping was probably not going to happen. The hotel feels like a resort hidden inside the city, a gorgeous, self-contained cocoon of calm. The soaring atrium lobby immediately set the tone with its spacious pods and serene atmosphere, the kind of place you could sit all day with a drink in hand without feeling the need to rush anywhere.
Service was excellent across the board — warm, personable and attentive. The Boays were chatting happily with the staff even before we were done checking in. And of course, the bubble lift ride up to the room was a mini adventure in itself, with the boys plastered against the glass, taking in panoramic views of the city below.
Stepping Into the Urban Jungle Suite
There are only two Urban Jungle Suites in the entire hotel, and stepping inside, it was immediately clear why they are so sought after. Spanning 79 square metres across two connecting rooms, the suite blends two worlds — one room designed in Pan Pacific’s signature elegant, modern style for adults, and another room transformed into a full Kiztopia-themed jungle wonderland for children.
The moment the Boays walked in, they burst out in excitement. The inflatable rocking hippo, the teepee tent, the vibrant prints, the cosy lighting — there was so much to explore that they dashed around in pure delight.
But nothing topped the treehouse bunk bed. It became the highlight of the stay, leading to animated discussions about who should sleep on the top level. The welcome sling bag filled with puzzles, snacks and books was another thoughtful touch, and the dedicated kids’ toilet meant no arguing over bathroom time.
On the adults’ side, the super king bed, spacious wardrobe area and large bathtub (complete with bath toys) made the room wonderfully restful.
One evening we decided to simply order room service and enjoy the unhurried calm of the space — something we don’t always get to do in the busyness of daily life.
A Hotel That Doubles as a Family Playground
Level four of the hotel truly encapsulates the “resort in the city” experience. The pool area is inviting, lined with cabanas and sunbeds, and with the Urban Jungle Adventure package, we had exclusive access to our own themed cabana complete with playful Kiztopia floats.
The gym was another unexpected highlight — spacious, modern and well-equipped, and I ended up using it all three days.

But the Boays’ favourite spot was undoubtedly the Urban Jungle Village. Built around a whimsical storyline of jungle friends wandering into the “urban jungle” of Marina Bay, the play space was thoughtfully constructed to encourage exploration and imagination.
Slides, climbing corners, cosy reading spots, interactive screens, pretend play areas — everything came together to create a lively, engaging environment the boys could spend hours in.
To make the experience even more magical, the hotel offers picnic sets at S$59 each during the day — complete with milkshakes, burgers, fries, Oreo cheesecake and even a Kiztopia plush toy.
As the sun sets, the vibe shifts to their adorable campfire sets, also S$59 each, which include mac and cheese, hotdogs, corn on the cob, marshmallows, chocolate fondue, fruits and a plush buddy for the children to bring home. These little “add-ons” make the stay feel thoughtfully curated for families, turning even mealtimes into moments of play
Dining Highlights Throughout the Hotel
Food is where Pan Pacific Singapore shines yet again. Breakfast at Edge was consistently satisfying — a generous, comforting mix of local and international dishes that set the tone for slow, easy mornings. We returned to Edge for dinner one night to enjoy their Australian-themed buffet, which featured everything from Tasmanian oysters to kangaroo leg.
What we’ve always appreciated about Edge is how frequently they refresh their themes. While the Australian spread has wrapped up, their festive buffet will take over from 17 November 2025, featuring seasonal roasts, premium seafood towers and classic holiday favourites.
For guests planning a visit, the festive buffet is priced at S$88++ for weekday lunch (Mon–Fri) and S$44++ for children aged 6–12. Saturday lunch is priced at S$108++ for adults and S$54++ for children, and the daily dinner buffet comes in at S$128++ for adults and S$64++ for children. All dinners include free flow chilled juices and soft drinks.
These festive rates run until 1 January 2026, except for Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.
We also enjoyed the Pacific Club Lounge as part of our package. Located at the top floor, it offered sweeping views of Marina Bay, along with a quieter, more intimate breakfast setting.
Children are welcome until 5.30pm, after which the lounge transforms into an adults-only bar — perfect for parents who enjoy a peaceful evening drink. Since that isn’t part of our lifestyle, we retreated back to the room after tea time, but it’s certainly a lovely perk for many.
One of the highlights of the trip was our meal at Hai Tien Lo, the hotel’s award-winning Chinese restaurant. We invited the Boays’ grandparents to join us for their unlimited dim sum buffet, priced at S$80++ per adult.
The spread was beautifully curated, with dishes like the rich and comforting Mini Buddha Jumps Over the Wall broth, the charcoal truffle char siew buns, and the aged-vinegar Iberico pork with lychee — all prepared with finesse. Watching the grandparents savour the dishes and then explore the suite afterwards made the meal feel even more meaningful, a small but precious family moment tucked into the weekend.
A Sunday Brunch to Remember
On our last day, we rounded off the stay with the Sunday Fun-day Brunch — an experience that truly stood out. Held at Edge, the brunch carried the restaurant’s signature energy: oysters (again!), a generous seafood spread and the full Edge buffet line that we’ve grown familiar with. But what made it memorable was the element of play woven into the dining experience.
There was a dedicated kids’ corner, complete with their own mini buffet filled with sweet treats and even a child-sized chocolate fondue. While the Boays happily indulged in donuts and Minion cartoons, we finally had a small pocket of peace — a good fifteen minutes — to enjoy the relaxing atmosphere.
The live band filled the space with lively tunes, while the energetic staff moved around with balloon clappers, gathering around guests to celebrate birthdays and anniversaries with infectious enthusiasm.
The brunch is priced at S$188++ per adult (including free-flow alcohol) and S$98++ per child. To be honest, it’s a great touch for those who enjoy free-flow drinks. But for us — with our long list of concerns about getting high, especially while parenting — it may not be the most value-for-money option. Still, as a whole dining experience, especially with kids in tow, it was a delightful way to wrap up the stay.
Exploring the Neighbourhood Around the Hotel
While we barely stepped out of the hotel, the surrounding malls deserve mention. Marina Square’s family-friendly wing is packed with entertainment options — Pororo Park, Vroom Town, escape rooms, Kiztopia — a paradise for young children. Suntec City, connected just a walkway away, offered surprises like Snow Sports Academy, where kids can learn skiing, and SuperPark, a sprawling indoor sports playground.
There was so much within easy reach that we constantly found ourselves choosing between staying in or heading out — the best kind of “problem” to have on a staycation.
A Weekend to Remember
As the staycation came to an end, we realised that this simple weekend away became a memory that would stay with us. It was a chance to pause and celebrate the Boays’ little milestone, to rediscover the joy of being together without distractions, and to experience a slice of retreat without leaving Singapore.
Pan Pacific Singapore delivered a stay that was playful, restful and meaningful all at once, reminding us that some of the best adventures — and the most precious core memories — can happen right in our own urban jungle.
