Looking out towards the water, the Northshore Straitsview Playground in Punggol has some nice views and invites kids to play amongst some naturalistic elements which have been designed to look like rocks and weathered wooden logs.

Rock & Wood Obstacle Course

One of the highlights of the Northshore Straitsview Playground is its combination of rock-and-wood-looking obstacles.

Rock & Wood Obstacle Course

There is a “log” where kids will either have to balance their way across or slide across seated. It is also a good obstacle which parents to guide and support their kids across.

Then, there is a series of “rocks” which act as stepping stones along the soft-padded floored playground.

Next along the obstacle, kids will come up to a log archway where there is a green “spider web” blocking the way forward. Kids can climb through this green netted obstacle or climb their way around it.

Finally, there is another green web strung up on a rocky outcrop.

Even the playground’s slide makes use of a rocky outcrop. Kids will have to scramble their way up a set of rock steps to reach the top of the green slide before making their way down.

Swings at the Northshore Drive Playground

There is also a pair of swings that face out towards the waters of the straits nearby. It  must be so fun to swing about and look out to sea.

For younger children who may not wish to tackle the obstacle course, there is a more “traditional” toddler playground close by too. Kids can climb up to the low platform and enjoy the slide at the green-coloured playground.
