-- Story continues below --

Under the national rallying theme “Let’s Be Greater Together”, residents of all ages can look forward to immersive storytelling sessions, interactive kindness installations, live performances, community showcases, family-friendly activities, and appearances by Singa and the Kindness Cubbies.

The activations are designed to encourage simple, everyday acts of kindness and social connectedness. The locations for the activations are:

  • Community Plaza @ Oasis Terrace, Punggol
  • Community Plaza @ Kampung Admiralty, Woodlands
  • Community Plaza @ Plantation Plaza, Tengah

They aim to bring conversations about kindness directly into neighbourhood spaces and create opportunities for families, friends, and communities to come together meaningfully.

Here is what you can expect at the Community Activations.

1. “Greatness Starts Here” Reflection Zone

Residents can stand before a mirror and select uplifting messages such as “I choose greatness”, “I choose to turn yours and mine into ours” and “I choose to be a catalyst for good”.

The installation encourages visitors to reflect on how small acts can collectively shape a kinder and more gracious Singapore.

2. “Reach For Greatness” Challenge Wall

Inspired by a bouldering wall, participants spin a wheel and complete simple acts of kindness, including thanking volunteers, complimenting strangers, reaching out to loved ones and introducing themselves to someone new.

3. “Kindness Is The Ride Thing To Do” Interactive Installation

Participants pedal on stationary bicycles to illuminate a digital map of Singapore, symbolising how collective acts of kindness can create a larger social impact. A hand-pedal option will also be available for children, seniors, and persons with disabilities.

4. Booths

Residents can visit the booths to find out more about what the Kindred Spirit Circle, Singapore’s Friendly Neighbourhood Award winners and Partners do. Through interactions with these ordinary groups of Singaporeans and by learning about their stories, visitors will be inspired to spread kindness in their own communities, too.

5. Kindsville Activity Booth

Children (K2 to P6) can take part in activities such as the Kindsville Mailbox where they write a letter to Singa and “post” it into the Singa mailbox. Children can also choose to read their letter aloud through a microphone before posting it in the mailbox.

There is also a Bag Charm Keychain Making Station where they can redeem a DIY charm after completing the letters. There is also a Layer Stamp where they can take a piece of postcard and stamp the card with 4 layers of stamp.

6. Singa Bench Colouring

Participants will paint their hands and leave their handprints on the Singa bench as a pledge of their commitment to creating a kinder and more gracious Singapore.
