This year, the Istana Deepavali Open House 2022 will take place on Monday, 24 October 2022 from 8.30 am to 6 pm.
The Istana Deepavali Open House 2022 is open to all visitors and free for Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents. Those who are visiting the Istana grounds can also join guided tours and enjoy performances scheduled to take place throughout the day.

Guided Tours
Want to learn more about the Istana Building? For the Istana Deepavali Open House 2022, the National Heritage Board will be conducting guided tours. These will take place every 30 minutes between 9 am and 2.30 pm, and 4.30 pm and 5 pm. The tours are limited to a maximum of 15 persons per group and are ticketed.
There will also be Nature Guided Tours run by NParks volunteers. There is a limited of 15 persons per group and the ticketed nature tours will department every hour from 10 am to 4 pm.
Performances at the Istana Open House
A highlight of the Istana Deepavali Open House 2022 is a chance to watch live band and dance performances at various venues around the Istana grounds. For this open house, there will be Indian Dance performances by Bowen Secondary, Punggol Secondary and Clementi Town Secondary.
There will also be musical performances by Xinmin Secondary, CHIJ Katong Convent, and NAFA School of Young Talents.
These will be held starting from 10 am in the morning onwards.
Activity Booths
Visitors to the Istana Deepavali Open House 2022 can also look forward to game booths by Heartware Network, craft booths by National Gallery Singapore, a candle-making activity by Anaya Soul Retreat and balloon sculpting by Singtel.
Visitors can also pick up limited-edition Istana souvenirs from merchandise booth.
Proceeds from various activities at the Istana Deepavali Open House 2022 will go towards the charities supported by the President’s Challenge.
