
The annual Hari Raya Light-up 2017 (HRLU 2017) will return to Geylang Serai from 20 May to 7 July 2017. Themed “Deepening the kampung spirit”, local and international visitors will be treated to a visual and food fiesta! Over a period of one and a half month, visitors can gather to soak in the festive atmosphere while engaging in the various activities lined up to understand the Malay culture and heritage.

Themed “Deepening the kampung spirit”, this year’s light-up is inspired by the intricate motifs on the songket as well as the kampung spirit. Look forward to a wide array of activities, which include a performance by Ramli Sarip, Singapore’s very own “Papa Rock” as well as kompang (drum) and tarian (dance) performances.

Geylang Serai Bazaar

Touted to be the best pasar malam in Singapore, visitors can shop to their heart’s content at the 1000 stalls selling the widest range of traditional goodies such as kuih tart (pineapple tarts) and kuih bangkit (tapioca cookies), decorative items, costumes and many more.

Cultural Heritage Race 2017 & Cultural Heritage Nite
