Take part in a series of creative and engaging activities suitable for families and the young ones at Gardeners’ Day Out! Storytelling, art and craft, and lots more fun await!

 

Make Your Own Twiggy Placemat
Time: 9 am – 11 am
Venue: Lifestyle Corner
Create placemats using branches and twigs collected from our garden and accessorise your tabletop at home!
Parents and kids are welcome.

Garden Walk
Time: 10 am – 11 am
Meeting Point: Spiral Staircase at Exhibition Gallery
Learn little known facts about plants and get ideas for your own garden from our display plots and themed gardens. Registration required at the Visitor Service Center, up to half hour before start of each tour.

Harvest with Our Hort Farmers
Time: 9:30 am
Meeting Point: Outside Visitor Services Center
Fee: $3 for one parent and one child
Registration is required at the Visitor Services Centre on event day. Limited to 10 pairs per session.

Junior Butterfly Explorer
Time: 9:30 am – 10:30 am
Meeting Point: Outside Visitor Services Center
Through this interactive tour at the Butterfly Garden, see the different stages of the butterfly’s life cycle and the various ways these winged jewels have evolved over time to adapt to their environment.
