
Curious to see what Terminal Five Changi Airport is going to look like? T5 in the Making exhibition opens on 6 January and it is where you are going to get wowed by the largest terminal yet, decades in the making.
Opening in phases starting mid 2030s, T5 will be located within the 1,080-hectare Changi East development almost as big as the land area of today’s Changi Airport. When the first phase opens in mid-2030s, T5 will be able to handle about 50 million passenger movements a year.

We visited the exhibition and found it to be accessible even for little ones. It was easy to read the information and understand more about the airport. Witnessing the transformation of the area with the information presented excites us very much!
Experience T5 in the Making
After booking your slot online, head to T3’s arrival hall, more specifically near where Mcdonald’s is.
At the check-in area, collect your personalised “boarding pass” with your name on it. This pass is also a stamp rally card where you can collect five adorable Buddy Bear embossed stamps.

Did you know the airport used to be at Paya Lebar? Learn why the move from Paya Lebar to Changi was a bold one amidst an uncertain world order and how it set the stage to Singapore as a global air hub.
In the centre of the gallery is a 2.7-metre-tall globe where different parts of the globe showcases the story of Changi Airport.

Zone 2: Built on Firm Foundations
Visitors will see the evolution of Changi’s coastline through decades of land reclamation efforts. From a rugged coastline of coconut palms and sea almond trees to
They can trace the story of Terminals 1 to 4 and Jewel Changi Airport, see the faces who have shaped Changi Airport and the milestones in Singapore’s aviation journey.
Then head to the waiting area where you can take photos with the mascots – larger-than-life Buddy Bears before you enter the theatre for a multimedia showcase.

BONUS for Young Kids
Right next to Mcdonald’s T3 is where you can find a free playground!
This treehouse-themed playground has two slides, a climbing ramp, several play panels perfect for little one looking to expend some energy.
We like the foam padded flooring making it a playground that’s tumble-friendly plus a netting roof for extra protection.
Enter via the gate nearer the sliding door exit.
