Make time for your family this 28 May and be a part of the first Family Duathlon at the annual Families for Life Celebrations! Get the best of both worlds in running and cycling over a family-friendly distance of 5km and enjoy the beautiful city skyline, starting from St Andrew’s Road, in front of the iconic National Gallery Singapore.

Held in conjunction with Car-Free Sunday, this means families can enjoy running and cycling on the closed roads on a bright Sunday morning at their own pace and comfort.

Exciting family-bonding activities lined up at the Families for Life Celebrations:

– “Drive-In” Movie Screening & Picnic, 4:30 pm to 9:30 pm
Wind down and chillax as the sun sets and spend quality family time with an evening picnic. Get creative and design your own unique family cardboard car to enjoy a “drive-in” movie screening of Despicable Me 2. Groove to the tunes by music duo Jack and Rai and get your free popcorn from the Families for Life Mobile Cafe to complete your movie experience.

– Volunteerism and Charity Drive
Take this opportunity at the Celebrations to learn about how you can contribute through acts of kindness and volunteering and play an active part to reach out to the disadvantaged and look out for each other at the SG Cares booth.

People with special needs are part of our community and should have equal access to opportunities and good quality of life. The Purple Parade is a movement that supports the inclusion & celebrates the abilities of persons with special needs.
