Help Stock Up The New Lengkok Bahru Community Shop By Food From The Heart

Non-profit charity Food from the Heart has opened a new Community Shop at Lengkok Bahru to serve the residents living in the area. Today, 18 February, and tomorrow, 19 February 2022, they are holding a food donation drive for items to help fill the shelves of the Community Shop.

The Community Shop is a shop-for-free food mart for those in need. They can visit the shop to pick up items, not only providing them with what is needed, but also allowing them to interact with others and shop with dignity.

The Lengkok Bahru shop is Food from the Heart’s third Community Shop location. The charity is aiming to raise 10,000 items through the food donation drive taking place from 10 am to 5 pm on the two days.

The food items which are being sought include rice, oil, instant noodles, vermicelli, canned food, coffee, tea, Milo, oats, cereals and biscuits.

When making a donation, please be sure that food items have at least 3 months of shelf life remaining.
The donations can be made at the Community Shop @ Lengkok Bahru at Blk 55 Lengkok Bahru #01-389, Singapore 151055. It is located at the block opposite the Enabling Village.
Those who are driving can also drop off the donations at a booth set up at the rear of the shop within the HDB estate car park.
