The Chingay at Heartlands at Pasir Ris-Punggol GRC and Punggol West SMC takes place on Sunday, 3 March 2024. 

A collaborative spirit blooms in Pasir Ris-Punggol as over 500 residents, students, and partners transform 300 bottles of recycled bottles into 2 magnificent 21-metre Floral Dragon. This symbol of unity highlights the community’s commitment to sustainability and collaboration.

This is in addition to other highlights like float caravans and roving Chingay performers.

Chingay @ Heartlands Activities at Pasir Ris-Punggol GRC and Punggol West SMC

Bringing residents together through Chingay‘s vibrant spirit of multiculturalism, youthfulness and the showcasing of community arts, One Punggol will host its festivities with four Chingay community floats on display, as well as roving performers at The Plaza.

Look out for the Punggol community float display – ‘Blossoming Heartland’ – co-created by Pasir Ris-Punggol residents and volunteers.

This is the collective effort of residents and volunteers from the Pasir Ris-Punggol GRC and Punggol West SMC, guided by artist Eveline Aathar.

The float display is an art installation designed as a magical floral garden and playground filled with beautiful handcrafted flowers.

Families will enjoy the evening with various cultural and stage performances such as energetic drum acts, ‘gu zhen’ instrumental music, and thrilling wushu performance.

Kids will enjoy magic shows, as well as pop-up activities such as interactive games and arts & crafts.

At Pasir Ris Town, the car park opposite from Downtown East, there will be balloon IG, multi-cultural stage performances, fringe activities, game booths, roving performers, popcorn & candy Floss, firecrackers, lion & dragon dances from 5 pm to 8 pm.

At Punggol, One Punggol will have bouncy castles, as well as balloon IG, multi-cultural stage performances, fringe activities, game booths, roving performers, popcorn & candy Floss, firecrackers, lion & dragon dances from 6.30 pm to 10 pm.
