Beyond English: Science & Maths Camps by Science Studios and Seriously Addictive Mathematics
And the British Council has also partnered with Science Studios and Seriously Addictive Mathematics to introduce Math and Science camps as optional add-ons to the English camps during the June holidays.
At Science Studios’ June holiday camp at the British Council, kids will learn about our amazing world through hands-on experiments, interactive worksheets, mind maps and quizzes. P1 to P4 students get to investigate topics such as living things, matter, heat and light energy, while P5s and P6s dive into Upper Primary Science topics like the respiratory and circulatory systems, plant systems and the water cycle. Through these Science camps, students will develop essential MOE standard Science keywords, answering techniques, and Science Process Skills.
The Seriously Addictive Mathematics’ Heuristics in Focus holiday camp will introduce step-by-step strategies that nurture critical thinking and enhance students’ ability to solve problems effectively. Kids will develop strong problem-solving skills as they learn to apply essential Singapore Maths heuristics such as Draw a Diagram/Model, Look for Patterns, Make a Systematic List, Guess and Check, and Work Backwards. These heuristics will help them tackle word problems covering a variety of topics, including shape and number patterns, addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, money, length, and more.
These optional Science and Math camps will take place in the afternoon, after the English camps, from 2 pm to 4 pm, from 2 to 27 June 2025.
