Cyclist Park, East Coast Park

Cyclist ParkHead down to East Coast Park to check out the new Cyclist Park. There are two cycling circuits. The first is idea for beginners to gain confidence on two wheels. The other course is for more advanced cyclists and includes a pump track and narrow paths to practise cycling with precision. Cyclist Park is free to enter and use. It is also home to a new nature playgarden, the latest to open at East Coast Park.

On 7 & 8 Dec, 4 pm to 7 pm, Chapter Zero will be at the Roof Terrace, Level 4, of Bedok Point, bringing free play to kids for the Christmas period. We hear there is going to be free ice-cream too!

Mr Dragon’s Great Escape!

Mr Dragon’s Great EscapePick up a Mr Dragon’s Great Escape Activity Trail booklet and go on a self-guided trail around Asian Civilisations Museum from now till 29 December 2019. Every Friday, look out for special programmes designed for children between 3 to 10 years old in Fun-tastic Fridays. Inspired by the museum’s collection, these include concerts and craft activities.


Esplanade

It is a month of music in December at Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay. Voices – A Festival of Song takes place from 6 to 8 December. Besides ticketed workshops, there are also sing-a-long sessions and free performances. From 9 to 31 December, chill out to the sounds of performances by Bang Wenfu x Cheryl Chitty Tan, Sam Driscoll x Jack and Rai, Art Fazil and others. Get more details here.


Our Tampines Hub’s Family Day Out

Our Tampines Hub’s Family Day Out - free things to do December 2019 school holidaysHead down to Our Tampines Hub’s Town Square on Saturday, 14 December 2019 from 12 pm to 10 pm to enjoy family-friendly activities which include a Gladiator Challenge, Frisbee Challenge, Zorb Ball and Toy Story movie marathon. Admission is free and all are welcome. At level 2, you can also head over to The Sky Terrace to make your own time capsule of memories every weekend from 3 pm to 6 pm with Playeum too.


National Library Board’s Monsters Reading Tour


Join adventurous Hutsy, magical Camy, science whiz Zecky and spook-loving Rooky as they go on their Monsters Reading Tour to selected MRT stations this December. Each monster represents a different genre of children’s fiction and they will be bringing their favourite books with them around Singapore! Make slime, borrow books, and take home monstrous goodies!

The Monsters Reading Tour will be at the following locations from 11 am to 5 pm on the respective dates:

7 Dec – Bishan MRT Station
8 Dec – Jurong East MRT Station
14 Dec – Esplanade MRT Station
15 Dec – Buona Vista MRT Station

Practical Ways To Make A Difference As Part Of The Boys’ Brigade Share-a-Gift 2019This year end, how about doing something different from the usual. The Boys’ Brigade is running its annual Share-a-Gift project. Help to make the season a bit brighter for someone else by donating items which will go to households in need.
