World Strings Day was conceived with the intention to bring together string players of all backgrounds for a celebration of their shared love for music. Inclusivity is the foremost core value of the event. Participants of all backgrounds, regardless of race, age or skill level, are invited.
This year’s celebration will be on 29 Feb 2020 and revolves around the theme of dance. With a meticulously curated repertoire of familiar local tunes arranged by local composer David Loke, World Strings Day will be conducted and led by Loke himself. This mass performance aims to make violin-playing fun and inclusive.
