1. Chef: Bibimbap vs Chilli Crab

2. Gateway Theatre Opening Festival

3. Weird Wonderful World – Picnic Day by Tiong Bahru Bakery
8 & 9 July, 3 pm to 8 pm
Palm Valley, Singapore Botanic Gardens
It’s a day of mouthwatering pastries and treats, great music, a laidback al fresco experience in the gardens, and lots and lots of bouncy fun. There are picnic sets you can order in advance, so all you have to do is rock up and have a good time. More info.
4. Woof-a-thon 2017
8 July, 3 pm to 7 pm
Bishan-Ang Mo Kio Park
Dogs can be good for the heart, literally. Back to raise awareness of the cardiovascular benefits that dog ownership brings, this year’s edition features a 2km buddy walk, pet photo booths and fashion parade, CPR demos, games and more. Details.
5. Pinocchio: A Whale of a Tale
8 to 30 July
The Pavilion @ Far East Square
Set within a ‘whale’s belly’ made up of 40,000 plastic bottles from the up-cycling efforts of kids across Singapore, this colourful musical puppet show transports the audience into Pinocchio’s magical world. More info.
6. Stories in Art: Talking Pumpkins
8 & 9 July, 2:30 pm to 4 pm
Keppel Centre for Art Education
In conjunction with the National Gallery’s exhibition of the works of Japanese art icon, Yayoi Kusama, master storyteller Kamini Ramachandran will be sharing enthralling folktales themed on one of the artist’s signature motifs – the pumpkin. Learn more.
7. Art-Zoo Inflatable Park at Resorts World Sentosa
