Get set to immerse yourself in arts and culture this weekend! On top of our very own Singapore Heritage Festival, there is also the Voilah! French Festival taking place, plus performances, outdoor movie screenings and more.

 

1. Pinocchio: A Whale of a Tale!

The Pavilion @ Far East Square

This contemporary adaptation of the classic fairytale transports its audience on a journey of discovery and fantasy. Along the way, it also explores values such as integrity, courage and appreciating our loved ones and our world. Details.

2. NParks Concert Series in the Park: Rockestra

7 April, 6:30 pm to 10 pm

Angsana Green, East Coast Park

Gear up to sing along to your favourite pop and rock hits at this edition of Rockestra, themed “Hits by the Beach”. Look forward to performances by a slew of local artists, as well as a bouncy castle, face painting, and art and craft activities. Learn more.

3. Pet Expo 2018

6 to 8 April, 11 am to 8 pm

At Singapore’s largest pet fair, you’ll find all kinds of pets, pet services and organisations that cater to them. There are also various activities like informative works and fun contests lined up. A must-go for any pet-lover. More info.

4. Singapore Heritage Festival 2018

6 to 22 April

Returning for its 15th year, this celebration of Singaporean culture and history features a host of tours, talks, open houses and performances. Activities this weekend include craft sessions at the Indian Heritage Centre, theatre tours at the Singapore Art Museum and a drive-in cinema at Jurong Town Hall. Details.

5. Book In a Nook

7 April, 3 pm to 4 pm

Drop by to listen to fascinating stories about people, places, animals and objects found in artworks from the National Gallery’s collection. Registration required on the day.

6. A Singapore Botanic Gardens Movie: “Ah Boys to Men 4”

Singapore Botanic Gardens

Enjoy a screening under the stars of this local comedy. Some of the cast will also be there for a short pre-screening discussion of the movie.

7. Voilah! French Festival Singapore 2018

Learn more about French arts and culture at this showcase of creativity and innovation. Family-friendly events this weekend include a nature photo exhibition and a screening of the French animation A Cat In Paris. Find out more.

8. VCH Organ Series: In Every Corner Sing
