The kids are restless and you are wondering what to do. We’ve got some ideas to help you spend your weekend. Here are our picks of family-friendly activities taking place over the upcoming weekend.

1. Esplanade Flipside – Ticket by Clownic

6 to 7 June
Esplanade Theatre Studio

Journey through the best moments of silent and sketch comedy, as seen through the raving eyes of Clownic. Famous comic scenes by Charlie Chaplin, Buster Keaton and Rowan Atkinson get reinterpreted and brough to life in a series of manic sketches. Part of Flipside at Esplanade Theatres on the Bay.

2. The Deep

Opens 6 June
ArtScience Museum

ArtScience Museum’s latest exhibition delves into the world of deep-sea animals and provides an intriguing look into the complexity of life with the depths of the ocean. Opens this weekend from 6 June.

3. Open House: Celebrate the SEA Games with Learning Vision

6 June, 10 am to 2 pm
Learning Vision Locations Around Singapore (4 locations)

Little ones can get into the spirit of the SEA Games at Learning Vision’s open house. Exciting activities to celebrate the SEA Games include an obstacle course, storytelling and even a chance for them to make their own medal.

4. Ninja Turtles Dojo Experience

29 May to 28 June, 1 pm to 8 pm
Downtown East, Event Square

Meet the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle heroes at Downtown East. Learn the art of the Ninja at the  Turtles’ Dojo and blaze through mystifying mazes and zip through fun activities on the way to the finish line!

5. DBS Marina Regatta

6 and 7 June
Marina Bay

Singapore’s biggest water sports festival includes performances, an urban farming showcase, artisanal flea market and a Kids & Family Zone filled with activities like face-painting, balloon sculpting, bouncy castles and doodle stations.

6. Etiquette Boot Camp by Krystal Charm Etiquette Academy

Equip your child with social etiquette and good manners from an early age. 7. Play Lah!

It is a weekend of fun at Singapore Expo. Experience the joys of simple games like guli, chapteh, sepak takraw at this SingEx SG50 “Games We Play Growing Up” carnival. Sectioned into the 60s & 70s, 80s & 90s, and 2000s, there will even be traditional snacks and games to enjoy. 

8The Gingerbread Man

9. Let’s Get Groovy with Barney!

Get groovey with Barney and friends at City Square Mall with three shows at 1 pm, 4 pm and 7 pm on the weekends.

10. Masak Masak

Till 27 June
National Museum of Singapore

It is Children’s Season at the museums and you can masak masak with the kids over at the National Museum with larger-than-life takes on traditional toys, and bouncy castles on the lawn. This Saturday, 6 June, there will be a wayang kulit workshop for kids where they can create their own story with shadow puppets.


11. Zoolympix

Weekends in June
Singapore Zoo

Learn more about animal conservation at the Singapore Zoo. Pick up a Zoolympix booklet and head out to five wildlife-themed stations around the Zoo. Help save animals and protect their homes through fun activities.

12. Babymime

5 to 7 Jun, 5 pm, 7.15 pm and 9.30 pm
Esplanade Outdoor Theatere

This comic trio from Thailand put up a mime show with a hilarious twist to the sport of Thai kick boxing.

13. 28th SEA Games Carnival

Singapore Sports Hub

Get into the spirit of the SEA Games at the 28th SEA Games Carnival. There are giant inflatables, creative sports try-outs and even laser tag. Performances and light shows are lined up as well.

14. Dinosaurize Me!

Till 15 June
Plaza Singapura

Discover science in the mall with a Dinosaurs Alive! zone, Dino Fun Zone and the Dinosaurize Me! show by Science Educators.

15. Vibrant India

Till 28 June
Terminal 3, Changi Airport

Redeem passes to a bouncy castle designed after the Chennai Central Railway Station and have your hand painted with beautifully intricate henna designs at Changi Airport during the holidays
