The school holidays have flown by. It is the last weekend before the school term reopens. Wondering what family-friendly events to catch and activities to do around Singapore this weekend? Here are our picks of activities taking place.

1. Megapalooza!

27 to 28 June, 10 am to 7 pm
Gardens by the Bay

Have fun at Gardens by the Bay’s Megapalooza! Play giant board games at the Supertree Grove or catch the Tricky Patrick magic show inside the Flower Dome. The NUS Wind Symphony and Urban Street Team will also be there on 27 June to entertain the crowds.

2. Free Movie Screenings: Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb and Mr Peabody & Sherman

27 and 28 June
STAR Vista & 112 Katong

Catch a free screening of Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb on Saturday evening at the STAR and Mr Peabody & Sherman, an animated feature about a gifted dog and his adopted seven year old son, at 112 Katong on Sunday.

3. NAC ExxonMobil Concert in the Park

28 June, 5 pm
Singapore Botanic Gardens

Head to the Shaw Foundation Symphony Stage for an evening of music in the park. Performances start from 5 pm and children’s fringe activities start at 4.30 pm.

4. Good Ole Fun In The Park

Till 28 June, 12 pm to 10 pm
Level 1 City Green park

Experience a retro carnival at City Square Mall with rides and carnival games.

5. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Dojo

Till 28 June
Downtown East

Train like a ninja at the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Dojo at Downtown East. Meet the Turtles over the weekend at eXplorerkid and the Event Square Stage. All four Turtles will be on stage together for a special appearance on 28 Jun at 7 pm.


6. My Little Pony Friend-tastic Picnic Party

27 June, 2 pm to 7 pm
Bishan Ang Mo Kio Park Grand Lawn 1

Head out to the park for a pony-listic party at My Little Pony this Saturday.

7. Shadow Puppetry – Let’s Play & Learn

27 June, 10.30 am to Noon
National Museum of Singapore

Jermy Hiah conducts a workshop where you child gets to exercise his or her creativity through shadow puppets inspired by wayang kulit. Ticketed event. $20 for a parent-child (four to seven years old) pair.

8. LEGO Build Play. Fun

Till 28 June
Raffles City Level 1

Get little hands busy with LEGO toys at the Raffles City Atrium. Join the LEGO Ninjago Battle Dojo and battle the evil Morro and Create Star Momemnts with LEGO Friends.

9. YOUTHphoria

27 Jun, 10 am to 8 pm
Singapore Discovery Centre

YOUTHphoria returns to the Singapore Discovery Centre with blockbuster movies, fireworks, magic performances and SEA Games with a twist. There will also be pedal boat rides on the lake. Ticketed event.

10. Koalamania, Zoolympix, River Games and Generations of Fun

Till 28 June
Singapore Zoo, River Safari and Jurong Bird Park

This last weekend, head out to say ‘hi’ to the visiting koalas at Singapore Zoo and learn about animal conservation while you are there. Play River Games at River Safari and enjoy traditional fun at Jurong Bird Park.
