
It’s the Easter long weekend, which means more time to check out these family-friendly events and have fun! From arts performances to carnivals and themed celebrations, there’s plenty to keep parents and kids happily occupied.
1. i Light Marina Bay 2016

This wekeend’s your last chance to catch this fabulous light festival that’s been transforming the Marina Bay area into a glittering wonderland. Featuring over 20 light art installations, an Uncle Ringo carnival and aerial performances with LED-lighted kites, it’s guaranteed to be a fun evening out for the whole family. 2. Stories Under the Stars

This fun-filled craft and storytelling session is a great way for little ones to learn more about our nation’s history and the days before its independence. Stirring and entertaining in equal measure, this takes place in Woodlands Regional Library on Saturday and Jurong Regional Library on Sunday.
3. Musicals to Movies by Windstars Ensemble

Enjoy a relaxing outdoor evening of music, as the Windstars Ensemble bring you a repertoire of familiar and popular tunes from famous musicals and movies, such as Star Wars, The Lion King, Les Miserables and, of course, the monster animation hit, Frozen.
4. Attend a Mr Lee Kuan Yew remembrance event
19 to 27 Mar

To mark the first anniversary of Mr Lee’s passing, remembrance events will be held at Tanjong Pagar Community Club, Parliament House and Istana Park. The Nanyang Polytechnic Students’ Union will also be commemorating the occasion with a massive light-art installation at Marina Bay Event Square, on display from 23 March. Handmade lighted tulips will be available at the handicraft booths on 26 and 27 March.
5. Playeum’s Tinkering Sundays: Wooden Car II

Playeum, The Children’s Centre for Creativity
Be inspired by wooden toys to make your own cars, trucks, or anything that rolls in this hands-on workshop. It’s also a great chance for kids to tinker with and try out various wood-working tools available. Click here to book your slot.
6. Magical Spells by Bellepoque

Follow a clumsy witch into a magical realm of imagination and dreams, in this interactive performance filled with songs ranging from Disney hits to stirring opera. A great chance to introduce operatic tunes to little ones in a fun and light-hearted way.
7. Treasures of the World Storytelling Sessions for Children

National Museum
Join master storyteller Kamini Ramachandran as she takes you through the National Museum’sTreasures of the World exhibition, enthralling you with tales based on the theme “The Hero’s Journey”. Listen to stories from all over the world, then create your own story-craft to take home. Pre-registration is required.
8. Pasir Ris West CACC Carnival

The Promontory @ Marina Bay
One of the accompanying events to i Light Marina Bay, this colourful carnival is presented by Pasir Ris West Community Arts and Culture Club and features busking performances as well as ‘light’ themed craft stalls.
9. Ocean Eggsloration

S.E.A Aquarium, Resorts World Sentosa
The S.E.A Aquarium is celebrating Easter with a lineup of festive activities. You can learn about the aquarium’s dolphins and get up close with them on Easter weekend, go on a hunt for 12 hidden eggs, have some fun at the art and craft area, and more!
10. The Three Billy Goats Gruff
