
After a week of schooling and work, it’s time for some well-earned family R&R! Here, we’ve highlighted some of the fun things going on this weekend that are great to unwind to.
1. Hideaways – Creating with Nature

Playeum, the Children’s Centre for Creativity
This new nature-themed exhibition by Playeum offers kids an interactive and immersive experience where they can explore, observe and engage with nature. 2. Madagascar Live!
21 to 24 April

Relive the fun and hilarious escapades from the hit movie as you join Alex the Lion and friends on this wild musical adventure to Madagascar. A great show for audiences of all ages.
3. Tulipmania
Till 22 May
Flower Dome, Gardens by the Bay
Learn more about these iconic flowers, such as its origins in the ancient Ottoman Empire and its significance in Turkish culture. The Persian-style settings provide a great backdrop for some family photo opps too. Free guided tours at 11 am and 3 pm daily. Details here.
4. iWheel 4 Fun 2016
24 April, 10 am to 6 pm
Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal
It’s Singapore’s first carnival for fans of personal mobility devices such as scooters and unicycles. It’s a chance to try out different brands and models on a 100-m long track, and there are also other fun activities like races, obstacle course challenges, trial clinics, food trucks and more. 5. Hanuman – The Superhero Monkey

KC Arts Centre
This original multi-media production by the SRT’s the Little Company promises a theatrical experience rich in music and visual treats. Witness the feats of Hanuman and his monkey friends as they battle evil kings and monsters in a bid to create a better world. Learn more.
6. ION Orchard Flights of Fancy Bird Show
Till 8 May, Saturdays and Sundays from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm

If you’re in Orchard Road this weekend, take some time out in the evening to catch this free bird show taking place at ION. It’s a great chance to interact with beautiful avians like macaws and parakeets and discover what they can do.
7. Blue Man Group 2016 World Tour
Till 23 April
Sands Theatre, MasterCard Theatres at Marina Bay Sands
It’s your last chance to catch this fun and visually spectacular performance, which ends its run this Saturday. A mix of comedy, theatre, rock concert and dance party, the show’s new music, stories and state-of-the-art technology will blow you away.
8. Visit KidZania Singapore

Check out this hotly-anticipated indoor role-play mega city for kids. Located within a giant building, it’s a place where kids can let their imagination and ambition run wild as they try their hand at various occupations, from pilots and doctors to fast-food servers, chefs and fire-fighters.
