1. Imaginarium: Over the Ocean, Under the Sea

Discover more about the oceans, our impact on them and how to care for them in this eco-themed exhibition by the Singapore Art Museum, designed specially for kids. On top of interactive installations and artworks they can explore, there are also ticketed artist-led workshops lined up. Click here for the detailed programme.
2. PLAYtime! Grandpa Cherry Blossom
Till 21 May
Esplanade
Teach little ones about friendship, kindness and gratitude with this theatrical staging of the popular Japanese folktale of Shiro, a special little dog who can sniff out gold and the greedy neighbour who’s after him. Recommended for kids from two to four.
3. Tulipmania
Till 22 May, 9 am to 9 pm
Flower Dome, Gardens by the Bay
if you haven’t yet seen this spectacular tulip exhibition, now’s your last chance. Try and catch the free guided tours that take place at 11 am and 3 pm daily, or pick up a copy of the Tulipmania Garden Trail to learn some fun facts.
4. Roald Dahl’s The Witches
Till 29 May
Ulu Pandan Community Club Theatrette
See this much-loved classic by Roald Dahl brought to life on stage. Follow a brave little boy and his grandmother on their adventure as they try to stop the witches of England from wiping out all children. More info.
5. Supa-Ongaku: Japanese Anime and Games
22 May, 3 pm to 4 pm
Esplanade
Fans of anime classic Japanese video games will be thrilled with this free performance by the Philharmonic Youth Winds. Tunes to look forward to include soundtracks from Studio Ghibli films, Pokemon and Galaxy Express 999. Learn more.
6. Celebrating Radio: Sounds From the Past
Till 17 July
National Museum of Singapore
This exhibition about the evolution of radio has a children’s activity area where kids can try their hand at being a deejay, design their own vinyl record album cover and more. Interactive tours for pre-schoolers are also available, subject to availability of the museum’s guides. Find out more.
7. S.E.A.A. Super Mum
Till 12 June, 10 am to 7 pm
S.E.A. Aquarium
Fascinated by the bonds between sea creatures and their babies? Then head down to the S.E.A. Aquarium, which has lined up an educational activity trail and craft zone so kids can learn more in a fun way. You’ll even get to meet one of the world’s first shark rays that was born and raised under human care. Details.
8. RSAF Open House 2016
21 to 22 May, 9 am to 6 pm
Paya Lebar Air Base
The Republic of Singapore Air Force will be holding its open house after a five-year absence. Visitors can look forward to thrilling aerial displays, aircraft rides, a chance to get up close with the RSAF’s various fighter jets and choppers, and more. Be prepared, though, for a huge turnout and hot weather. Details.
