
The week-long March school holidays are coming to an end, but there are still plenty of opportunities to have some fun. Check out our list of fun and exciting events taking place this weekend.
1. i Light Marina Bay 2016
Till 27 Mar, 7:30 pm to 11 pm (12 midnight on Fri and Sat)
Marina Bay Waterfront
The Marina Bay area has been transformed into a glittering showcase featuring more than 20 light art installations. Highlights for kids include works such as Light Origami and Angels of Freedom. There’s also an Uncle Ringo funfair offering carnival rides and games, as well as aerial performances with LED-lighted kites flying in tandem to music. Read more in our festival round-up.

2. Children’s Festival: Adventures in Gardens of Wonder

Gardens by the Bay
The Children’s Festival at Gardens by the Bay is packed with free programmes and activities, from plays and interactive storytelling sessions to LED and water-play performances. Kids can also look forward to craft and game booths, a bouncy castle, balloon sculpting, magic tricks and more. Details here.
3. The Boy Who Cried Wolf

4. Arts Imprints Around My Neighbourhood by Quek Ling Kiong
20 Mar, 10 am & 4 pm
Toa Payoh
Go on a music and storytelling trail around the historic neighbourhood of Toa Payoh, as its iconic landmarks get turned into site for pop-up performances. The entire walk takes around two hours, and there are also craft activities taking place before the start of each session. Registration required. Learn more.
5. The Three Billy Goats Gruff
Till 26 Mar
DBS Arts Centre
Embark on a perilous journey with the three billy goats, Baby, Middle and Big, as they brave the goat-eating troll in their attempt to cross the bridge to get to greener, richer pastures. This Mandarin version of last year’s hit production promises to have you on the edge of your seats and giggling along.
6. Showtime in the Gardens 2016
19 Mar, 5 pm to 7 pm
Singapore Botanic Gardens
Pack your picnic baskets, outdoor mats and scooters and cap off an afternoon at the Singapore Botanic Gardens with this free concert put up by the concert and brass bands of various secondary schools. From popular music to classics, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
7. The Rainbow Toymaker
20 Mar, 5 pm & 7 pm
Ang Mo Kio Central Stage
Be enthralled by the tale of the Rainbow Toymaker, as a dreary neighbourhood comes alive with colour, creativity and the smiles of children. Using music, eye-catching costumes and larger-than-life props to tell the story in an engaging and dynamic way, this theatre performance promises to be a high-energy visual treat.
8. Disney On Ice Presents Magical Ice Festival

Singapore Indoor Stadium
Catch this musical and visual extravaganza on ice before it ends its run! Featuring the most memorable and magical moments from Disney’s numerous hit movies such as Frozen, The Little Mermaid and Beauty and the Beast, get ready to be swept away into this enchanted wintry wonderland.
9. SmartKids Asia

Singapore Expo Hall 6
This mega kids fair combines education, health and family activities all under one roof. Learn about enrichment classes offered by leading centres, let your kids explore new skills or get creative at the various workshops, and meet and greet favourite characters like Transformers and My Little Pony. Other highlights include inflatables and Nerf gun games.
