The weekend is here again! Wondering what there is to do around town after the last week’s long weekend? Here are some ideas of what to do to chill out as a family this weekend.

1. Discover Singapore Stories

Till 13 Sep
Flower Dome, Gardens by the Bay

View the flora display designed by Singaporean landscape architect, Damian Tang, and discover the stories behind places such as Tanjong Pagar, Sisters’ Island, Pulau Ubin and Kusu Island. In the evening, catch Garden Rhapsody (SG50 Edition) at 7.45 pm and 8.45 pm at Supertree Grove.

2. Unearthed: Singapore at 25

Till 27 Sep
Asian Civilisations Museum

The contents of a time capsule buried in front of the Empress Place building in December 1990 are on display. View its contents to travel back in time and see what Singapore was like at 25 in this FREE exhibition.


3. World Stamp Exhibition

14 to 19 Aug
Sands Expo and Convention Centre

The world of stamps go on display at this FREE exhibition taking place at the Sands Expo and Convention Centre. Visitors can buy stamps and meet the people who design stamps. The Singapore Philatelic Museum is also organising activities for kids at the exhibition.

4. The Little Mermaid “Live Show”
6 to 17 Aug
United SquareSwim along with The Little Mermaid in an underwater adventure at United Square. Live shows at 1 pm & 7 pm on weekdays, and 1 pm, 5 pm & 7 pm on Saturdays and Sundays.


5. Sands of Time

Till 16 Aug
Siloso Beach, Sentosa

The Sands of Time exhibiton at Siloso Beach has been extended till 16 Aug. Visit it to see the Singapore story laid out over a 100-metre, 3-dimensional sand sculpture.


6. Kids Flix – Tomorrowland (2D)

15 August
Various GV Cinemas

Spend Saturday morning at the cinema with the kids at Golden Village. Tickets are at $6 and get a kiddie combo at $4.
