This Mid-Autumn Festival, head down to Wan Qing Mid-Autumn Festival 2025 @ SCCCI, a festival weekend packed full of cultural activities organised jointly by the Singapore Chinese Chamber of Commerce & Industry (SCCCI) and Sun Yat Sen Nanyang Memorial Hall.

Guppy Glow: Lights of Harmony

Guppy Glow: Lights of Harmony

Guppy Glow: Lights of Harmony is a light display at SCCCI’s outdoor space from now till 9 October 2025. This lantern installation draws inspiration from the colourful and lively guppy fish, and symbolises vibrancy, adaptability, and unity in diversity which are values at the heart of Singapore’s identity.

While at the outdoor landscape area, join the Riddle Association as they conduct a traditional riddle solving session and stand a chance to win exclusive Wan Qing Yuan merchandise!

Miniature Handcrafted Fish Lanterns Display

Complementing the outdoor display is the Miniature Handcrafted Fish Lanterns Display, where you will get to witness a live painting demonstration and experience how these ethereally beautiful lanterns are brought to life with colour, light, and creativity.

Head over to the Level 1A Auditorium where family-friendly activities and experiences galore await.

For some crafty fun and good parent-child bonding time, visit the craft stations where you can make your very own Fish Lantern or Mooncake Carrier – use them immediately on a magical night-time stroll around the grounds of the SCCCI.

The young and young-at-heart will enjoy the Mid-Autumn Mini Games booths, where you will get to engage in interactive games that both educate and entertain, offering insights into the festival’s history and customs.

There are even storytelling sessions, where local authors will take you on a journey through Chinese myths and legends.

 

 

Hanfu rental booth

Live out your period drama fantasies at the Hanfu rental booth, where you can dress up in stunning hanfu costumes (complete with hair-styling and accessories) and capture beautiful memories on the picturesque grounds.

Kids’ sizes are available as well so you can get that frame-worthy family shot with your mini Chang’e and Hou Yi!

Thye Moh Chan booth

Mid-Autumn Festival would not be complete without mooncakes of course, so stop by the Thye Moh Chan booth for a taste of some traditional Teochew mooncakes.

And pair it perfectly with freshly brewed tea brought to you by Camellia Tea Bar, where you will also get to learn about the traditions of tea and the art of tea-making.

 

 


Creative Marketplace

Creative Marketplace

Visit the Creative Marketplace (located at Level 1), a specially curated gathering of 40 stalls that spotlights local culture, heritage and emerging creative talent in Singapore.

Shop for whimsical handcrafted crochet creations with a touch of local flavour at Gogives, or beautifully designed, environmentally-friendly fabric wraps and carriers at Tsutsumi.

Drop by 9tails to learn more about haori, and pick up some unique Chinese storybooks from Shiawase Books.


Live Performances

Enjoy chill weekend vibes with Moonlit Melodies, Heartfelt Harmonies – live performances by some of Singapore’s finest local talents, such as Jenix Ee, Little Band Plus and Jurine Chia.

From vibrant acoustic tunes to moonlit melodies, the line-up promises something for everyone.

For those visiting in the evening, be sure to catch Celestial Melodies and Motion, a Chinese music and dance performance celebrating the richness of tradition and artistry.

The highlight of the programme is a music and dance piece with music adapted from the ancient pipa classic The Moon High Above, a piece which draws inspiration from the legendary tale of Emperor Tang’s visit to the Moon Palace.

Exhibitions and Displays

Journey deeper into Chinese heritage and culture through interactive exhibitions.

Located at Level 1 Main Foyer, “Mid-Autumn Festival: A Taste of Reunion” highlights the spirit of the Mid-Autumn Festival and its cultural significance on family reunion and kinship love. Kids will enjoy engaging with the interactive exhibit on mooncake moulds, while learning about the history of artisanal mooncake makers of Singapore.

“At the Chinese Restaurant: Memories and Traditions” features objects from local Chinese restaurants that tell the story of Chinese culinary culture in Singapore, while “Wan Qing Yuan: A Journey Through History and Heritage” offers an opportunity to explore Wan Qing Yuan’s role in history.

You will also have a chance to create a multi-layered stamp print postcard of Wan Qing Yuan!

Activity booklet giveaway – this one’s just for the kids!

Complete the event activity passport and survey form to receive a free activity booklet, “Let’s Celebrate with Uncle Ting: Mid-Autumn Festival”, where children will get to learn more about the legend of Chang’e as well as popular customs associated with this festival.
