More than Music is proud to present Virtuosi, a celebration of chamber music and the power of musical synergy. Abigail and Jun Hong join forces with old friends, violinist Chan Yoong Han and cellist Yoon-Kyung Cho, to explore the intricacy, intensity, and intimacy of making music together. The first half of the programme shines the spotlight on individual personalities, taking turns to challenge, inspire and affirm each other. The pyrotechnics of Paganini’s Caprices, shimmering textures of Szymanowski, rollicking rhythms of Piazzolla and tender lyricism of Chopin create magical moments that will dazzle and delight. All four performers unite in the second half for Schumann’s masterful piano quartet, with its soaring lines and quicksilver energy.
