Experience the rustic life at Tulipmania 2019 at Gardens by the Bay. This year, the popular floral display draws on a pastoral theme to bring a slice of the European countryside to the Flower Dome from 12 April to 20 May 2019.
The Provincial Life
More than 35 varieties of tulips are on display at Tulipmania 2019 at Gardens by the Bay. These colourful bulbs blanket the Flower Field, providing a splendid burst of colour that is sure to delight visitors.
Alongside the tulips are vignettes of agricultural life in the Netherlands.
Upon entering the Flower Dome, a thatched Dutch Country House with a cut-out wall allows visitors to admire the bounty of the harvest and objects around the house such as the fireplace and Dutch tin-glazed earthenware.

Venture to the Flower Field where more iconic scenes of pastoral life awaits in a quaint Dutch village.
Occupying pride of place is a windmill which visitors can walk through.
Wind was not the only power source which was used in Dutch villages and a cottage with a waterwheel reminds us of that. Waterwheels were used for irrigation and to power machinery in rural villages.
A bicycle also reminds us that the Netherlands, a country with very flat terrain, is also known as the cycling capital of the world.
One of the highlights of Tulipmania 2019 at Gardens by the Bay is a new red and white tulip which has been named “Singapura” to commemorate the Singapore Bicentennial being celebrated this year.
The European Fair
From 12 to 21 April 2019, experience more of Europe at the Flower Field Hall. The European Fair offers a chance to sample European-style food like cheeses and sausages.
Kids can also rent European costumes, try out Dutch games or decorate their own clogs.
Admission to the European Fair is free on weekdays when visitors can enter with having to pay for Flower Dome admission. Flower Dome admission charges apply on Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays.
