Connecting children, parents, educators and makers, Tinkerfest is a week-long celebration of the joys of learning through play, exploration and experimentation.
Based on the theme, “Nurturing 21 Century Learners”, the festival seeks to highlight the foundation that children need to build from an early age that will help them succeed in a fast-changing, technology driven world.
Parents and children from ages three and up can join in for a wide range of activities (walk-ins) and workshops (pre-registration needed) at the Science Centre’s Tinkering Studio.
Activities include:
GIVEAWAY: Win Tickets to Magic Mee Goreng, a Puppetry Performance About the Science of Food
Read more stories on: Kayaking in Singapore, Bird Paradise and Singapore Botanic Gardens
– Land It Safely, where kids create a paper helicopter and learn how to land it safely with passengers on board
– Domino Effect
– Brushbot Race, where kids get to learn about robotics, electronics and reusing
– ElectriCity, which lets kids create buildings and structures using cardboard, recycled materials, craft materials and LEDs
