From nature escapes to artsy exploits to science-laden learning, three different festivals in the second half of July 2019 offer families a chance to take in new experiences together. These family-friendly festivals offer loads of fun and learning! So, whether you wish to expand your horizons or simply stretch out and relax, here are three family-friendly festivals this July 2019 that you should know about to plan out your upcoming weekends.


Singapore Botanic Gardens Heritage Festival 2019

Singapore Botanic Gardens Heritage Festival 2019Singapore Botanic Gardens celebrates its 160th anniversary this year. Kids and families can enjoy games at the Orchid Plaza and explore the newly opened Seed Bank by joining a guided tour.

The theme of seeds permeates this year’s Singapore Botanic Gardens Heritage Festival with seed-themed activities at various tenant outlets and the Centre for Education and Outreach.

In the evening, settle down for a concert at the Shaw Foundation Symphony Stage followed by an outdoor movie screening at Eco Lake. The second and final weekend of the Singapore Botanic Gardens Heritage Festival 2019 takes place on Saturday and Sunday, 20 and 21 July 2019. Get more information here.

PAssionArts Festival 2019

PAssionArts Festival 2019The PAssionArts Festival 2019 runs from now till 25 August 2019 with events being held nationwide. Some of the highlights to look out for include the Pasir Ris Beach Arts Festival 2019 (27 July) and FUNtARTstic Storyland: Light-Up Edition in Yishun (27 July).

Other PAssionArts Festival 2019 events include the PAssionArts Village @ Bukit Timah (20 July), which will be held at Firefly Park, and Carousel of Time (27 July) at Jurong Lake Garden. There are plenty of other events being held at the heartlands all around Singapore too. Enjoy music performances, painting, crafts, and even join in a music jam session or two at the various festival events.

Preschool STEAM Learning Festival

Preschool STEAM Learning FestivalKidsSTOP and Preschool Market are holding the inaugural Preschool Learning Festival from 25 to 28 July 2019 at Science Centre Singapore.

Targeted at children between 2 to 8 eight years old, families and early childhood practitioners, the Preschool Learning Festival aims to foster a better understanding of the early childhood industry and STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts & Math) education methodologies. There will be showcases by preschools, workshops and talks during the four-day festival.

Bonus Idea: Sentosa GrillFest 2019

From 19 July to 12 August 2019, 27 establishments will be serving up over 130 F&B options along Siloso Beach. This year’s Sentosa GrillFest 2019 will see the return of the Gourmet Market, a collaboration with ANGLIS where visitors can select their raw ingredients and have them cooked by chefs.
