The Singapore Grand Prix is revving up this weekend from 20 to 22 September 2019. For some, it is going to be a weekend of fast cars, thrills and musical concerts with acts like Gwen Stefani, Muse and Red Hot Chilli Peppers. For others looking for things to do over the F1 weekend 2019 in Singapore, the Marina Bay area will be a no-go since there will be road closures and limited access to some areas.

An Old New World


With what is probably one of the longest exhibition names around, An Old New World: From the East Indies to the Founding of Singapore, 1600s – 1819 opens on Saturday, 21 September 2019 at National Museum of Singapore. Take a journey back in time to the 200 years BEFORE Raffles’ arrival in Singapore and learn how the worlds of the Europeans and local inhabitants of the “East Indies” collided. Look out for special opening weekend activities such as storytelling and craft sessions too. This exhibition is part of the Singapore Bicentennial commemorations.
