There will also be live music performances in the afternoon. Over at Lee Kong Chian Natural History Museum, there will be workshops and activities taking place at the lobby, including a workshop on coding and dinosaurs!
Catch a Film
The European Union Film Festival reflects the diversity of perspectives, histories and cultures from across Europe. The 29th edition features contemporary European cinema and includes several films for families including The Stolen Princess from Ukraine and The Wild City from the Netherlands. If you are looking for an alternative to Detective Pikachu, you may want to check out the films at the festival over at the Vesak Day 2019 long weekend.
Gardeners’ Day Out
It is Gardeners’ Day Out on Saturday, 18 May 2019. Browse through the marketplace at HortPark’s and pick up some accessories to get started on your own gardening adventure. There will also be a Bee Trail Tour and workshop for kids to make a “nest” artwork from natural materials. And you have yet to visit the new nature playground at HortPark, this Vesak Day 2019 long weekend in Singapore may be a good time to do so!
